"Nice work. :)"

submission: -Space pirates-

The name reminds me of Monkey Island, if you've ever played it (Old PC series, so probably not).
I can imagine this going to the background of one of the ghost pirate scenes, on the Ghost Ship.

Nice work. :)

Author's Response:

actually i did play it, the first game owns, but when they made it in 3d it failed completly, 2d games should not be converted to 3d if you cant do it right 0_o anyways, thanks alot!

"Lovely... Dark and Lovely"

date: March 29, 2007

I can just imagine some older movie with this playing in the background. Probably during the wedding between a Demoness, and some poor slob who sold his soul. What a great theme you've set here! (As you have in all of your songs!! :D)
That background sound that comes in when the song quiets down sounds almost like part of a police siren, off in the distance. It's very unique :)

I'm curious though, i've been listening to a lot of your songs, and I found that you use FL pretty much as a base program. I've always wanted to make orchestra/classical style music, but i've never found the right kind of drums. I really like the way the timpany can add something that a simple kick or snare drum can't really do, but I don't know where to find them. Where did you get yours? :)

Great work on this piece! So far i've been getting a lot of NG music lately... I think I have more from you than any other artist... :P

I would say more about your music, but i'm just starting out. All I can Really say is that I love your music, and keep it up!!! =D

Author's Response:

oh noes! Yet another review I have totally forgotten to review! My sincerest apologies Darthfett. The memory... she bleeds in agony and forgetfullness!

My timpani and snares and pretty much all of my percussion comes from East West Symphonic Orchestra Gold. It's a brilliant program, worth every god damned penny. And trust me, it's a lot of pennies.

I appreicate the kind words, i'm glad you liked the pieces! I'll be sure to keep it. Thank you for the review ^^. I see you have some work, i'll be sure to check it out!

"Insta-Download"

date: March 26, 2007

That starting thunderclap in the beginning, with the light playful piano really set the mood for this one.

I just love songs that have... other sounds in them. They add to a song in their own way, because they have a realistic quality, and can bring up memories, and really make a song good and unique.

I didn't particularly think the drums that came in about halfway through fit well, but it's a minor thing. :)

Make it longer!! :D

Author's Response:

thank you! :) that was kinda what i was aiming for, to make it sound more like a real played orcestra, or atleast somewhere near that :P

and yeah, im still not 100% satisfied with the perc. of this song, as said in the review above. :)

"Very Unique"

date: March 26, 2007

This is a cool song! :)

It's got a lot of the elements of trance in it, with the high pitched and futuristic synths, and the beats make it industrial sounding, as well as the (slightly) dark sounding notes.

This isn't the type of industrial, or trance you hear everyday, so it's very unique, compared to a lot of other music i've heard.

Great work on this!

Author's Response:

Thx 4 the review Darthfett! I wasn't sure if to put it in techno or ind.. :P But the darkness made it sound like industrial.

Gillenium Mini-Boss Fight

"A bit repetitive"

date: March 21, 2007

It sounds very much like a boss battle of some sort, but when it just winds over and over through the same sections over and over, it just doesn't make it as a boss battle theme. It needs a tune to come in!

I'm not suggesting you copy it, but maybe if you listen to some of the classic Final Fantasy Battle/Boss themes, you'll see what I mean.

They come in, similar to yours (but a little bit faster, with those tense-building background parts), and then they'll come in with a tune, that just fits in with the repetitive structure for a little bit, and then the whole structure will change every once in a while, and add a whole new tune.

You did a good job, with what you have so far, and i'm going to download it for learning purposes. (I still don't have down fast, battle type music, and i'd like to get better with them). But I really want to see a nice tune come in with a newer version!! :D 8/10 and 4/5.

"Nice work!!"

submission: dark caves
date: March 18, 2007

This is definately a cave battle theme.

That bassline comes in perfectly, as well as the drums, with a cool effect just before. The zombie-ish moaning was a cool effect, and the song had enough energy to at any moment break down into a huge face-paced beat... that's an excellent ambient quality, making it kind of an ambient-industrial mix. Nice work!! :D

Funny way to end it. :P

"Starts slow, but worth the wait"

submission: p4c - Stealth
date: March 18, 2007

The intro just wasn't enough to REALLY bring it out, but when it did start to build, it was very very nice sounding.

When it gets to the ending part, I would've really liked to see some more added to the drums, because I know something cool could've been done there!

Not really that good looping, but it does an ok job.

Finish the song, and maybe shorten the intro, and you'll earn yourself a lot of 5's!

Check out my stuff! :D

Author's Response:

yeah, i didnt really try to loop it before i sent it because i was in a rush to leave, so i forgot that all my instruments have reverb in crap (:P)

yeah, my friend also commented on the intro being repetitive and long compared to the actual actiony part. i actually was never done with this song; i just got bored arranging notes and crap and decided id jst throw it out, but since ppl seem to like it, ill work on it more :D

Donkey Kongs Dance Party

"It needs work"

date: March 18, 2007

The song starts in, sounding pretty cool.. but it's too slow to get in, and then has almost no tune.

There is also no ending, and the only thing donkey kongish about it, is that the drums sound a little bit like a jungle.

Your drums sound good, but the rest needs work!

Author's Response:

thanks for the rev. i did pull this off under a half an hour thou, i do admit that i should of spent more time on it but i also have a limited number of loops currently. again, thanks.

"Techno-Dance Hybrid"

date: March 18, 2007

It's not really that much Dance, it's more of a mix between Dance and techno, but it sounds cool!

The beats definately start out like a dance song, but they 'morph' into more of a techno-ish style.

It loops very well, and it has enough diversity to make it the type of song you listen to for quite a while, without even realizing it looped, or getting bored. Great job on this, and keep working on your music! :D

"Awesome!"

date: February 28, 2007

Wow I never expected to hear this sort of style of music made from a song of my own!

It sounds really cool, and it has some pretty awesome effects making it really fit its name well. Those evil laughter like sounds really sound cool layered together!

Thanks for making a mix off of one of mine! :D

Author's Response:

No problem, the song was quite an inspiration really, just kinda was like, "This should sound scary," so....

BAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the review! Worked on those evil laughs for a little bit, a couple of bloopers at first XD
