Love the intro, very unique

I've decided that newground isn't beyond saving as far as how review ratings go. It's either 10/10, 7/10, 3/10, or 0/10. :P

Anyways, I was really enjoying the intro, but it's still very short. I was really hoping for MOARR!!

Great atmosphere!

I love the Resident Evil feel in the intro! The high pitched synth and the wailing/moaning low bass sounds really set the mood. Drums come in a very different way, I like it!

Ending was alright, but I wasn't expecting much for a looping-designed track. One thing I felt could have made the track a little stronger would be a climactic hit and sudden silence, and then have the song suddenly start again with more intensity. Supposedly, fear is more powerful if you can't see what's scaring you. It might have been cool to see a visual "THERE'S SOMETHING THERE!", to really reinforce that concept.

Great work on the song, I've always been a fan of your music!

Love the combination of the Tsugaru with the Dark, DnB style! It really gives off the types of vibes you get from movies like The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. Hardcore Japanese-esque songs always have a place on my playlist! ;)

Very Clean!

The synths are very clean and sound great! (Listening to the song with a $150 pair of headphones is awesome! ;) )

Although the song was more ambient-trance, I felt it could have used a bit more layering. For being an ambient song, it also felt a bit short (though each second was sweet).

Great music, I've added you as a favorite artist. You're very ... not-mainstream. :P I love how all your music is completely different from the norm. Keep it that way!

Meh

Considering you didn't have to write any of the tune yourself, it's not that great, to put it bluntly.

A remix is about re-mixing the original track completely, so that all you can hear is the basic themes, and sometimes melodies. However, you didn't change up the notes much at all. This makes it more of a re-arrangement.

And with a rearrangement, you have to do a spectacular job with the instrumentation, which you didn't, really. It's one synth playing all the notes, and then the drums. Not much depth to it.

Sorry to be so harsh, but I don't think you should get a higher score just because you used good material to start with. A good artist should be able to start from a decent song, and make it spectacular.

Needs work

It may need work, but it still has a great tune. :)

A lot of your song needs syncopation (Ra-tata-Tah!), with more off-beat rhythms to mix it up a little bit, and to make it less generic.

I also suggest you add more effects to your channels, and try messing around with all the knobs on the channels themselves. The way it is right now, I can recognize just about every single one of these channels as FL presets. Using a Eurogate is kind of cheating, since you only made some of the notes, while the channel does the rest :P (It's different if you created the arp yourself)

I also very much dislike the generic FL Kick, it's in every beginner song, and anyone who's ever touched FL Studios can recognize that it is a beginner song, and will tend to rate it so.

The rhythm and tunes aren't too bad at all. You're one of the luckier ones that only really needs practice with the program, not practice with music theory. :)

Thanks for the review. Yeah I'm pretty new to FL so I'm still working on it. Would love to make my own arp but have no idea how. Any pointers? Anyway appreciate the time to review it. I recently got VECS and z3ta+ so hopefully I'll be putting out some better quality material. Thanks taking the time to review this.

Some cool effects in there. :)

I'm unfamiliar with House music, so I can't give you too much criticism that will be useful.

I liked the intro, and I thought it had a very unique feel to it. The jungle-like drums were my favorite part of the song, they sounded great, and made me feel as if I was in a war in the jungle. The suspense from the song was cool, though I thought the guitar was a little odd. (maybe a little bit out of place?)

It reminds me of some of the music from a game I played as a kid: Red Alert 2. The heavy kick and combination of some electronic-sounds with a war-like feel is what I really liked about it.

Those aren't actually guitar lines, they're synths with fuzz distortion on them.

This is great. It has a really nice feel to it, a bit relaxing, while at the same time keeping it interesting with some nice sounding drums (with great filters on them!) I loved the pads, they really made the song give a feel of awe and peace, while the light bells gave it a happy and relaxing feeling.

It reminds me a lot of some of the songs on ocremix (songs I have on my mp3 player).

I think the transitions at ~2:30 could use some work though. It was kind of out of place sounding.

Other than that, I couldn't find anything else wrong with the song. I'm probably not as music-knowledgeable as you.

I'm sorry to advertise, but it seems that reviews are the only place that you can actually get people to view your songs. I think it's only fair that I review you, you review me, but you don't have to if you don't feel like it (obviously :P)

As for the transitions, I somewhat disagree, though I understand your point about them sounding out of place, I believe it's just the layering.
